My experience with Precision was a very good one! I initially talked with Rich and he answered all my questions and had a great demeanor. My tech was Charlie. I was sent an email in advance with the tech pics and links. Also Charlie called in advance and it was a smooth experience. The service was great - Charlie explained and showed me all the items he was to work on as well as explained to me options to better fix the door for the long run. He was great to talk with and no up-sales pressure at all. Overall was a great experience and exceeded my expectations! Would call again or recommend anytime!

tech was able to get to our house earlier than scheduled which was very nice. he fixed the problem i called about and also pointed out some worn bearings and housing that needed to be replaced, which i'm sure saved another problem down the road. very happy with this experience.

I was VERY upset with the service I received from Precision Doors. The technician came out as expected. My roommate was home and I was at work. The technician told her that I needed a new motor which would be a little over $400.00 or if I got a new garage door opener it was going to be over $900.00. My roommate did not want to authorize this much so called me and I talked to the technician on the phone. I asked him why a new garage door opener would be over $900.00. I said I had checked at Sears and had seen that new openers were around $200.00 (I do understand that I also would have to pay installation). I felt he was very evasive. He said that I needed the door fixed also and talked about the superior quality of the openers from Precision Door. I just said again that I didn't understand why the opener would be over $900.00. To be honest, I was dumbfounded at that price. I asked to speak to my roommate and told her to pay him the service charge and I would get someone else, that I did not trust him. She said that he got very angry and rude. He said that I wasted my money and if I wanted a door opener from Sears I should have called them. My roommate told me he never looked at the door, just pushed the button, heard the noise and said I needed a new motor or opener. I called Overhead door, they came the next day and fixed my door for $175.00. He said the door opener I had was a good quality, there was nothing wrong with the motor, and nothing wrong with my garage door. It needed a $75.00 part and is working well. I think this technician from Precision Door was trying to take advantage of a couple women. I think he was dishonest. I think that at the least he was so incompetent that I deserve my service charge back. He had no business being rude - I have the right to decline service (I could not afford $900.00). I would love to talk to you and will call you in a few days if I do not hear from you.

A Response from: Rich

Thanks for taking the time to provide that detailed review of our service. It's our goal to provide top quality products and service. We want to you to be completely satisfied. In this situation you were not and I apologize. I have reviewed the invoice and this is what I know for fact. You were provided a discounted service fee for the technician to come out and evaluate your door. In his 25 point analysis he identied multiple items negatively affecting the perfomance of your door and opener (failures). You were not home at the time of the service and our tech had to work through an intermediary, further complicating communication. We do this occasionally and usually with success, but it adds an element of difficulty and sometimes results in miscommunication. The technician you are describing conistently has very high reviews. It would be out of character for him to be rude or dismissive; however, I was not there. I do not challenge your and your roommate's perception of what happened. We do not always do as good a job as we should explaining technical issues, terminology, and the differences between repairs and replacement. The technician was actually quoting a rebuild of the opener (motor) and an alternate repair which would be a new, high quality (the best we have) replacement. This technician is skilled and well trained, but may not have been aware that you needed more information. He did, however, fully evaluate your problems and recommend suitable repairs. He provided the service you paid for. You may not have been pleased with the cost of the recommended repairs but that is not a failure on our part to provide the service you requested. I regret that you were put in the position of using another company because you did not trust us. That is a situation we never want our customers to be in. Should you have subsequent problems with your garage doors or their performance over the next 6 months, I will be glad to personally meet with you (no service fee), assess the problem(s), and spend the time necessary to make sure you have a full understanding. If I can be of further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me. Regards, Rich Battistini - General Manager Precision Door Service

My 20-year old chain drive opening finally quit. I was impressed with Precisions information and service orientation. My technician, Don, was professional, polite, and clearly knowledgeable. He quoted prices for opener repair along with some needed repairs to the door itself, and compared to pricing for a complete door opener replacement to a belt-driven model. Don's worked quickly, and he made several changes to my door that improved its longevity and saved some money. The total bill was more expensive than I had anticipated, but I believe in paying more money for a good product that will last than paying smaller amounts over and over for repairs. And it has been worth it. The belt-driven motor along with some roller replacements has made the door almost whisper-quiet--we're amazed at the difference. I will definitely call on Precision for any future work, and would recommend them to anyone.

Called on Friday evening expecting to listen to a message. Instead a live person answered, took our information and scheduled Donald for Saturday afternoon. He came made a few door adjustments and diagnosed a new circuit board was needed for the operator and a second appointment would be needed. Within 30 mintes of his leaving the next appointment was set for Monday afternoon. Charlie arrived very promptly and reevaluated the problem. A circuit board was not required. It was a broken wire which was replaced and the door operated perfectly. Both men were cordial, professional and very knowledgeable. Excellent work at a reasonable price. Rate a 5 in all aspects and would definitely use again and happy to refer to others. Rich V.

I am pleased with your service. the liftMaster was last serviced and repaired in 2008. I was surprised somewhat at the cost of replacing the nylon gear. However, I was delighted with the fast and efficient service. It took about 30 to 45 minutes to do the job and your service man was most cordial. George Short

On Wednesday, my wife opened the garage to back out her vehicle and she called me to tell me that the screws holding the garage door rail had fallen out. We had just recieved a new door from Precision about two weeks ago so I called them immediately to see if they could help with the hanging rail. Don was out in the afternoon and noted that the original screws placed there by the builder 12 years ago were too short and had pulled out. Don put in new longer screws and checked the weight distribution to ensure that we will not have this happen again. This is the third time in about 5 years that we have had Precision repair or replace parts in a timely manner. I would recommend them to anyone for their service in a timely manner. Thank you once again Don and Precision.

I had installed my own garage door and naturally could not get the door sensors to work. One call to these guys and it is fixed in hours. The next day, a delivery man caught the door in his trailer and basically mauled beyound recognition. Don was at the house in hours, on a Sunday, to repair the door to a secure position and there the next day with the replacement. The new door is flawless and beautiful. If you don't use these guys, you're nuts.....

I came home from out of town after Labor Day to discover my garage door wouldn't remain closed. Precision actually had a real, live person answer the phone when I called, and got me scheduled immediately. Mike was very knowledgeable, proficient, and took the time to explain the problem, as well as what I might expect because of the age of the door. This was a most pleasant first experience with Premier. I never did hear back from two other companies I left messages for on answering machines!

I like to use local folks for our service needs and found Precision on the internet. They were within 10 miles and were BBB members. The Precision technician called to let us know he was on the way and he arrived at the appointment time. He replaced a broken garage door spring in less time than I thought it would take. Good work and timely. Can't beat that!
