I called Precision Door Service 35 minutes after finding out that my Garage door would not open due to a broken spring and searching the web for a repair service. In less than an hour the repair technician arrived. He was both very knowledgeable and exceptionally courteous. He estimated the price, but upon further analysis was able to lower it by more than $100. He did the work and made several adjustment to get the door working again in less than an hour and a half. What a great experience when coming home to a door that will not open on a day with pouring rain usually spells disaster. Thank you Precision!!

The technician was dead on time. After inspecting the door, he outlined all the things he felt needed to be done and explained all the costs. The man did his job. Everything he showed me was legitimate and needed to be done. The tech's truck was stocked with everything he needed to do the job. 90 minutes later my garage door sounded better and ran better than it has since I bought the house 14 years ago. Yes, it was pretty expensive but the work was complete, thorough and correct.

We called late in the day, were told someone would be out the next day between 2 & 4 ( wasn't an emergency, however, door was on it's last leg). Technician called when he was enroute, arrived on time and was very professional and pleasant. Said a couple of more uses and we would have really had a problem, fixed the problem in no time. I was recommended them by my neighbor and I will also recommend them to anyone who needs their service

Geoff Gardner did a fantastic job with a full replacement door system. He was courteous, polite and professional. Geoff fully explained his work process along the way. He also described the revised technology of the new parts used within this replacement. After highlighting the safety features and testing the new system, Geoff gave me the going-forward maintenance steps and timing. I'm very please with Precision Door Service and will recommend them anytime.

The technician was knowledgeable, friendly, and fast. However, the service charge quoted to me on the phone with the operator was $70 but I was billed $145. You should better set expectations with your customers as I would have waited to have the repair taken care of, rather than pay that rate.
Steven Hodge
A Response from: Rich

Thanks for the response and the 5 star rating in light of the misquoted service call. We apologize for misquoting you the service call rate for Sunday afternoon. Sundays, holidays and after 7 pm emergency rates are in effect. We have some new customer service reps answering our phones and occasionally they make a mistake. We have reviewed this mistake with our call center rep. Fortunately Don was able to correct the misquote prior to initiating any repair and made it clear he could come during the week at the regular rate. According to Don both you and your wife were able to discuss this and decide to proceed with the repair rather than wait until the weekday. Regards, Rich Battistini General Manager

One of our springs broke on Saturday around 10:00 a.m. Made a call to Precision (as we had prior service from them) at 10:30 a.m. We were told a repairman would be here by Noon. He arrived promptly, went over the options, and then completed the work in a very professional manner. While replacing the springs to a new more modern system was a bit costly, we are completely satisfied with the service and repair and we highly recommend Precision. Definitely a five star company!

My experience with Precision was a very good one! I initially talked with Rich and he answered all my questions and had a great demeanor. My tech was Charlie. I was sent an email in advance with the tech pics and links. Also Charlie called in advance and it was a smooth experience. The service was great - Charlie explained and showed me all the items he was to work on as well as explained to me options to better fix the door for the long run. He was great to talk with and no up-sales pressure at all. Overall was a great experience and exceeded my expectations! Would call again or recommend anytime!

I was VERY upset with the service I received from Precision Doors. The technician came out as expected. My roommate was home and I was at work. The technician told her that I needed a new motor which would be a little over $400.00 or if I got a new garage door opener it was going to be over $900.00. My roommate did not want to authorize this much so called me and I talked to the technician on the phone. I asked him why a new garage door opener would be over $900.00. I said I had checked at Sears and had seen that new openers were around $200.00 (I do understand that I also would have to pay installation). I felt he was very evasive. He said that I needed the door fixed also and talked about the superior quality of the openers from Precision Door. I just said again that I didn't understand why the opener would be over $900.00. To be honest, I was dumbfounded at that price. I asked to speak to my roommate and told her to pay him the service charge and I would get someone else, that I did not trust him. She said that he got very angry and rude. He said that I wasted my money and if I wanted a door opener from Sears I should have called them. My roommate told me he never looked at the door, just pushed the button, heard the noise and said I needed a new motor or opener. I called Overhead door, they came the next day and fixed my door for $175.00. He said the door opener I had was a good quality, there was nothing wrong with the motor, and nothing wrong with my garage door. It needed a $75.00 part and is working well. I think this technician from Precision Door was trying to take advantage of a couple women. I think he was dishonest. I think that at the least he was so incompetent that I deserve my service charge back. He had no business being rude - I have the right to decline service (I could not afford $900.00). I would love to talk to you and will call you in a few days if I do not hear from you.
Sue Hannah
A Response from: Rich

Thanks for taking the time to provide that detailed review of our service. It's our goal to provide top quality products and service. We want to you to be completely satisfied. In this situation you were not and I apologize. I have reviewed the invoice and this is what I know for fact. You were provided a discounted service fee for the technician to come out and evaluate your door. In his 25 point analysis he identied multiple items negatively affecting the perfomance of your door and opener (failures). You were not home at the time of the service and our tech had to work through an intermediary, further complicating communication. We do this occasionally and usually with success, but it adds an element of difficulty and sometimes results in miscommunication. The technician you are describing conistently has very high reviews. It would be out of character for him to be rude or dismissive; however, I was not there. I do not challenge your and your roommate's perception of what happened. We do not always do as good a job as we should explaining technical issues, terminology, and the differences between repairs and replacement. The technician was actually quoting a rebuild of the opener (motor) and an alternate repair which would be a new, high quality (the best we have) replacement. This technician is skilled and well trained, but may not have been aware that you needed more information. He did, however, fully evaluate your problems and recommend suitable repairs. He provided the service you paid for. You may not have been pleased with the cost of the recommended repairs but that is not a failure on our part to provide the service you requested. I regret that you were put in the position of using another company because you did not trust us. That is a situation we never want our customers to be in. Should you have subsequent problems with your garage doors or their performance over the next 6 months, I will be glad to personally meet with you (no service fee), assess the problem(s), and spend the time necessary to make sure you have a full understanding. If I can be of further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me. Regards, Rich Battistini - General Manager Precision Door Service

On Wednesday, my wife opened the garage to back out her vehicle and she called me to tell me that the screws holding the garage door rail had fallen out. We had just recieved a new door from Precision about two weeks ago so I called them immediately to see if they could help with the hanging rail. Don was out in the afternoon and noted that the original screws placed there by the builder 12 years ago were too short and had pulled out. Don put in new longer screws and checked the weight distribution to ensure that we will not have this happen again. This is the third time in about 5 years that we have had Precision repair or replace parts in a timely manner. I would recommend them to anyone for their service in a timely manner. Thank you once again Don and Precision.

I needed a good Preventive Maintenance checkup. Door was making squeaky noises and wanted to make sure that there weren't bearings wearing out or screws that were coming loose. Technician came in and did a great PM. Works well. I expected that the total cost would be $85 but that's just the cost for the repairman coming out. There will be an additional charge for material and time. That was not expected. Confirm the "TOTAL" cost when you call for an appointment.

I was very pleased with the repair and if needed the assurance of follow up if I had problems. Rich was very professional and he explained what he was doing as the repair and adjustments were being made. It was a very cold day and he stayed with the job until he was satisfied that the repairs had been made to the best of his ability.
